About Adoption.
Adoption is a life-long commitment, and Genesis Pit Bull Rescue takes every step possible to ensure you and your family are ready for the arrival of a new family member. We carefully screen adopters and schedule meetings to ensure the best match is made for our adoptable dogs.
Process
Apply
See a dog you love? Apply for adoption using the form below. If you are interested in a specific dog, or multiple dogs, please indicate this on the application. Have questions about the adoption process? Don't hesitate to contact us. Please allow our team up to a week to process your application.
Meet your dog
Following a review of your application, a member of our team will reach out to you to schedule a meeting with the dog, or dogs, you're interested in adopting. All family members and current dogs must be present at this meeting.
Trial Period
After meeting your dog, if you decide you'd like to adopt you'll take your dog home for a two-week trial period. This will give your family and other pets a chance to adjust to a new family member, and provide a realistic picture of what life with your new dog will look like. Following the two-week trial if you decide you'd like to adopt, you'll return one final time to complete the adoption paperwork.
